Why Paint is a movie about painting, creativity, and the meaning of the creative process involved in painting and other art forms. Five painters discuss their process and thinking and the entering into the creative state of flow that most artists can identify with. Painter and their work included in this movie are Yvonne Troxell Lamothe, John Walker, Willian Kerr, Nan White, and Dan Osterman. The Art and Creativity Channel, created by Yvonne Troxell Lamothe and Robert Flame Lamothe, includes various films. art events, and art talks relating to art and flow of creativity. It includes participation by many artists such as Yvonne Troxell Lamothe, Connie Bigony, John Walker, Nan White, Dan Osterman, William Kerr, Diane Novetsky, Brenda van der Beek, Raul Gonzalez, Jesa Damora, Robert Flame Lamothe and many others. Art Galleries included are Galatea Fine Art, Gallerie XIV, Paul Alexander Gallery, 450 Harrison Ave Studios, Artists for Humanity, The Miracle Five, and many others. The Art and Creativity Channel includes 12 movies of The Canvasation Project, - originally organized by Gallery XIV. The Canvasation Project is a multi media exhibition that features over 100 artists and individual artworks together with 12 collaborative paintings painted by groups of participating artists and documented by film production team, “Film Our Way Films.” The artworks and video installation will be presented together to create a space that reflects the creative process. The Canvasation Project engages small groups of artists to create paintings collaboratively while filmmakers film their creative process. Individual and collective notions of artistic interpretation, visual language, and communication are filmed to explore the artist’s individual method of creative thinking and problem solving. The layers and surface of each finished Canvasation painting presents a number of individual approaches that manifest one cohesive work of art. Canvasations were created by artists associated with: Kingston Gallery, Gallery XIV, Paul Alexander Gallery, Artists for Humanity, Boston Public School Art Teachers, 450 Harrison Ave Studios, The Art Institute of Boston, Montserrat College of Art, Reflect-arts.com, Hill House Boston, and The Miracle Five. Film Our Way Films are Robert Flame Lamothe and Yvonne Marra Lamothe, documentary filmmakers that have been recording and investigating artists' creative flow for over twenty years. Both artists are exhibiting photographers and painters as well as arts teachers in the Boston Public Schools.
